(English) We are seeking an enthusiastic Associate/Senior Associate who has a genuine interest in human rights and a good knowledge of relevant human rights law, including international human rights and UN Treaties and their applicability. 

You will be a Hong Kong qualified lawyer with a current Practising Certificate and will have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience. 

Requirements for the role include, but are not limited to:- 

  • Experience in any of the areas of law practised by Daly & Associates, including judicial review 
  • Ability to conduct your own advocacy in the Hong Kong Courts and Tribunals 
  • Excellent drafting skills 
  • Innovative thinking, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills  
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with both team members and external stakeholders 
  • Legal research and an interest in strategic litigation 
  • Good client management skills and confidence in working with clients from diverse backgrounds 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure when necessary 
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and preferably Chinese (a further language would be beneficial) 
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including Word and Excel

(English) We are currently looking for an Office Manager to join us! 

In this multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for the core aspects of office administration including the management of daily office operations, internal and external correspondence, book-keeping and financial tasks, record keeping and management of office supplies and equipment. The provision of administrative and clerical support to legal staff will also be required. 

You will also have the opportunity of being involved in helping to grow our social media presence, networking and building relationships with stakeholders, as well as using your skills in business development and policy implementation.  

Requirements and Essential Skills 

  • HKDSE or above 
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Good organization and ability to multi-task to ensure the smooth running of the office 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese  
  • Accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Flexibility and ability to deal with a variety of tasks and demands

  • General administrative duties including filing, scanning and photocopying of documents
  • Carry out legal research and prepare memos
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and take new inquiries from potential clients
  • Take attendance notes in meetings, trials, hearings etc.
  • To update the firm’s internal database and manage files
  • To assist in the preparation of bundles for trials and court hearings
  • To assist in any ad-hoc assignments

Requirements

  • University student taking undergraduate courses, preferably major in Law
  • Proficiency in written English and preferably Chinese or a second language
  • Good client management skills and confidence in dealing with clients from different backgrounds
  • Interested in working in a culturally-diverse environment
  • Interest / Passion for human rights
  • Proficient in PC applications (e.g. Word, Excel) and preferably Chinese Word Processing
